M.A.D.D. Honors Police Officers In Drunk Driving Battle

Mothers Against Drunk Driving held it’s annual law enforcement recognition awards in Riverside on Tuesday afternoon.

More than 500 Riverside County officers ,representing the sheriff’s department, California Highway Patrol and local police departments, showed up to support the men and women who have significantly reduced highway fatalities by making multiple DUI arrests in 2010.

News Channel 3’s Karen Devine emceed the event. Representatives from M.A.D.D. said they can’t stress enough the importance of keeping impaired drivers off the road:

Five officers made over 100 DUI arrests in 2010. The top award went to officer Eric Robinson of the Moreno Valley Police Department, who made 224 DUI arrests last year.
