Changing Of The Guard At KESQ-TV
Bob Allen, Executive Vice President and General Manager at Gulf-California Broadcasting Company (KESQ-TV, KDFX-TV, KCWQ-TV, KUNA-TV, KUNA-FM, kesq.com and kunamundo.com) will retire in June after 51 years in broadcasting.
Bob joined Gulf-California, a subsidiary of the News-Press & Gazette Company, in January of 2000. Prior to coming to the desert, Bob held the positions of President and General Manager of WHO-TV in Des Moines, Iowa and Vice President and General Manager of KCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Bob began his career in 1960 at a radio station in Sioux City, Iowa. He attended the University of Iowa and worked as a television reporter, anchor, and producer at WLS-TV in Chicago, KYW-TV in Philadelphia and KOA-TV (now KCNC-TV) in Denver, Colorado.
Bob is married to Barbara. Bob has two grown sons and three grandchildren.

Bob will continue with Gulf-California Broadcasting Company as a consultant.
Mike Stutz, Corporate Director of News for the News-Press & Gazette Company, will take over as Executive Vice President and General Manager at Gulf-California Broadcasting Company.

Mike began his television career as a reporter at WITI-TV in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri at St. Louis. Mike held news director posts at KGTV-TV in San Diego and WJXT-TV in Jacksonville, Florida. Mike was also a station operation manager at WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and held news management posts at KSDK-TV in St. Louis, KUSA-TV in Denver, Colorado and WITI-TV.
Mike is married to Ellen. They have three sons and one granddaughter.
