VillageFest Marks 20th Anniversary In Palm Springs

VillageFest, Palm Springs’ weeekly festival along Palm Canyon Drive, marks its 20th anniversary on Thursday, and the city is throwing a big bash to celebrate

More live music and free slices of cake will be part of the party, said city spokesperson Amy Blaisdell.

Mayor Steve Pougnet and VillageFest Chair Bob Thomas will kick off the festivities at 7 p.m., but the entertainment will run the length of the festival from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Consistently voted the best weekly event in the area, VillageFest attracts thousands of residents and visitors every year and offers more than 200 booths with art, handcrafted items and unique food. Shops, boutiques, galleries and restaurants stay open late. It stretches Palm Canyon between Baristo and Amado Roads.
