Overnight Car Crash Leaves Two Dead
Two people are dead, after a car crash in Indio late Thursday night.
It happened about 11:32 near the corner of Monroe and Indio Boulevard.
Police say the car smashed into a pole, but the cause for the crash is unknown.
Five people were hurt, two of which died, two others are now in critical condition. Fire crews also say a child was injured in the crash, but suffered only minor injuries.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the crash. They say another car was spotted leaving the scene just after the crash, but it’s unknown at this time if that car was involved.
