Soap Fans Fight ABC For Their Programs
Fans of “All My Children” and “One Life To Live” won’t give up without a fight.
Since ABC Television canceled the two shows, fans picketed the network?s New York headquarters, circulated online petitions and now they’re sending emails to ABC affiliates, including KESQ News Channel 3.
“All My Children” will go off the air this September after more than 41 years.
“One Life To Live” premiered in 1968 and will end next January.
They will be replaced by two new programs called “The Chew” and “The Revolution.”
The woman who created of the two soaps, Agnes Nixon, said she’s doing everything she can to keep them alive, but it doesn’t appear that’s going to happen.
