Border Patrol Seizes $200,000 Worth Of Meth
U.S. Border Patrol agents assigned to the Indio station on Highway 86 arrested a driver on Wednesday who they said was trying to transport $200,000 worth of methamphetamine in the country.
The incident happened at around 9 a.m. when a canine search team alerted agents to a silver-colored Ford Windstar.
The minivan was being driven by a 37-year-old female with a valid immigration document.
Agents conducted a thorough search of the minivan during secondary inspection and discovered approximately six pounds of methamphetamine hidden throughout the woman’s groceries.
