Internships, KESQ, FOX, KUNA – PALM DESERT
Gulf California Broadcasting, owners of the ABC, FOX, CW, and Telemundo affiliates, as well as KUNA FM , have internship opportunities for qualified college students. Students should have a serious interest in broadcasting and some course work in broadcasting, communications, journalism or business.
Most internships require a 12 ? 15 hour commitment per week. All internships are non-paid and require that the student receive credit from their college or university. Written confirmation from the school is required.
The following conditions apply:
The training, although it may include actual operation of station facilities, is similar to vocational training.
The training is for the benefit of the Intern.
The student does not displace regular employees, but works under their close supervision.
The student is not entitled to a job at the conclusion of the internship.
The student does not receive employee benefits.
The training is general, so as to qualify the student to work in any similar station.
