First Lady Michelle Obama To Attend Betty Ford Service

The White House says first lady Michelle Obama will travel to California for the funeral of former first lady Betty Ford.

Ford’s funeral is scheduled for Tuesday at Saint Margaret Episcopal Church in Palm Desert.

Her remains will be flown to Michigan on Wednesday and interment is scheduled for Thursday at the Gerald R. Ford Museum in Grand Rapids.

Ford was 93 when she died Friday at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
