3.7 Magnitude Earthquake Hits California Border

A 3.7 magnitude earthquake shook an area along the California/Mexico border on Monday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake hit at 1:40 p.m. PDT and was centered about 9 miles southwest of El Centro and 11 miles west northwest of Mexicali.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.
