Lanes Back Open On I-10 After Crash

A crash along Interstate 10 Sunday night shut down multiple lanes on the westbound side, according to the California Highway Patrol.

It happened around 6:45 P.M., just east of the Monterey exit.

Three vehicles were involved, one of them was found facing the wrong way.

Some of the victims were trapped inside their cars and emergency crews had to cut them out.

Five people were taken to area hospitals: one in critical condition, two with moderate injuries, and two with minor injuries, according to CalFire.

All lanes are now back open, according to the CHP’s website.
