Woman In Critical Condition After Truck Ran Her Over
A Burrtec truck backed over a pedestrian in front of Madison Elementary School Wednesday morning, according to Indio police.
It happened at 11:54 a.m. on Avenue 46, west of Madison.
The victim is a middle aged woman, not a student. Her name has not been released.
Indio Fire took her to Desert Regional Medical Center, where she is listed in critical condition.
The driver is being interviewed, but police say it does not appear to be his fault at this time.
The woman was in the middle of the street and it appears she did not see the truck coming towards her.
