Restaurant At Local Country Club Catches Fire

A fire at a country club restaurant in Indian Wells caused about $100,000 in damage, a Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman said Saturday.

The fire at The Reserve Club, 49400 Desert Butte Trail, was reported at 8:41 p.m. Friday, said fire department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson. It was contained around 9:30 p.m., she said.

“It was a working attic fire,” Hendrickson said.

A total of 38 firefighters and eight engines responded to the blaze, she said.
