Wildfire burns in San Diego County

More than 200 firefighters are racing to build a line around a wildfire that has
forced the evacuation of 150 homes in eastern San Diego County.

The fire began in a rural area near Campo and the Golden Acorn Casino
Sunday and quickly burned 450 acres.

Tom Piranio of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection
said erratic winds have made it difficult for firefighters to contain it. He said
they were taking advantage of calmer, overnight conditions to corral the blaze.
