9 arrested in Rancho Mirage drug sweep
Police and special agents from several Coachella Valley agencies served two narcotics-related search warrants on Wednesday morning, resulting in nine arrests.
Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Mark Hoyt said the warrants were served at two apartments at 5:30 a.m. at the Rebecca Apartments, located on the 34000 block of Rebecca Way, across the street from Cathedral City High School.
Inside, investigators found a handgun, methamphetamine, marijuana, ammunition and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Nine people were arrested and booked into the Indio Jail:
Angelina Ochoa, 38, Rancho Mirage, possession of methamphetamine for sale, child endangerment, maintaining a drug house.
Juan Felix, 42, Rancho Mirage, possession of methamphetamine for sale, child endangerment, maintaining a drug house.
Irma Paleo, 43, Desert Hot Springs, misdemeanor warrant for possession of stolen property
Juan Reyes, 38, Rancho Mirage, felony warrant for violation of probation.
Johnny Rodriguez, 30, Thermal, felony warrant for parole violation.
Eric Gonzales, 30, Indio, felony warrant for parole violation
Carlos Ramirez, 32, Rancho Mirage, criminal storage of a firearm, and possession of methamphetamine, and child endangerment.
Amy Tamaska, 33, Desert Hot Springs, felony burglary warrant.
A 16-year-old female from Rancho Mirage was also taken into custody, Hoyt said, for possession of marijuana for sale. Because of her age, her name is not being released.
