An armed man robbed a Bermuda Dunes donut shop Thursday afternoon.
Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies say the man went into Teddy’s Donuts about 1:20 p.m. with a handgun and demanded money from the person behind the cash register.
Teddy’s Donuts is located at 40-100 Washington St.
The robber exited the business and went to a waiting car, described as a white, older-model, 1990s Toyota Corolla. Witnesses couldn’t describe the getaway driver.
The suspect is described as an Hispanic, or white male in his early 20s, about 6 feet tall, 140 pounds. He had black hair, a light complexion, and was wearing a black, long-sleeved shirt and black jeans. The handgun was a black semiautomatic.
This is the second armed robbery of a Coachella Valley donut shop in less than a week. On June 29, an man held up Swiss Donuts on Highway 111 in Palm Desert. No arrest has been made in that crime.
