Cathedral City police investigate car break-ins

Cathedral City police are looking into a string of car break-ins.

Police saidthey happened in the the Mary Pickford Theatre parking lot located on the 68-700 block of East Palm Canyon.

Officerssaid Saturday at 9 pm, they discovered fivevehicles in the parkling lot that had windows smashed, and in some cases had items stolen from them.

Authorities have not identified any suspects.

They saidthere have been prior reports of vehicle break-ins in the same area over the last couple of weeks.
