A local church plans to give out 600 backpacks
A local church is giving back to the community today (September 1, 2012) by handing out 600 backpacks.
But that’s not the only thing The Rock Church in Palm Desert will be doing for kids. They will have games and a skateboard exposition, thanks to a world champion skateboarder and hall of famer — who just happens to also be the church pastor. Pastor Eddie Leguera holds two world champion titles.
The backpack giveaway and skateboarding exposition is today (September 1, 2012) from 7 to 9 am at The Rock Palm Desert church which is located just south of the i-10 freeway at the Cook street exit; 75400 Gerald Ford Drive, Palm Desert, CA 92211.
