Inland Empire gas prices inch upward

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire rose one-tenth of a cent today to $4.147, its second slight rise since an 11-day streak of increases ended Tuesday, when the price remained unchanged.
The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is 1.7 cents more than a week ago, 29.3 cents higher than one month ago and 21.3 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has increased 5 cents over the past 14 days, including four-tenths of a cent on Wednesday, rising to its highest amount since June 7.
