Search Continues for Possible Kidnappers

Sheriff’s deputies fanned out across the Antelope Valley Tuesday searching for a boy who was possibly kidnapped on his way to school in Palmdale.
Two children reported seeing two men in their mid-30s grab a 10- to 13-year-old boy and force him into a tan compact pickup truck about 8 a.m. They
said the boy appeared to be walking to school when he was confronted at 26th Street East and Avenue S, said Nicole Nishida of the Sheriff’s Headquarters
Bureau.
They said the truck had tinted windows, two rear cargo doors and a rear
sliding window, and that they last saw it traveling west on Avenue S, Nishida
said.
Deputies went door to door, along with volunteers, and also checked with area schools about absent students, but none matched the boy’s description, she said.
Anyone knowing anything about the possible kidnapping was asked to call the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station at (661) 272-2400.
