Inland Empire gas prices still climbing

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire increased Monday for the 28th consecutive day, rising three-tenths of a cent to $4.288, its highest amount since Oct. 25.
The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has risen 57.2 cents during the streak, including one-tenth of a cent on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 4.5 cents more than one week ago, 58.8 cents higher than one month ago and 3.5 cents greater than one year ago.
