Celebrate Earth Day with a documentary on climate change at UCR Palm Desert

UCR Palm Desert will observe Earth Day with the showing of a documentary on climate change tonight.

“Thin Ice: The Inside Story of Climate Science” will be shown at 6 p.m., and John Cook, UCR’s director of sustainability, will lead a discussion about climate change afterward.

This documentary “explores the questions that surround climate change”
by following 40 scientists working in the Arctic, Antarctic, Southern Ocean,
New Zealand, Europe and the United States,” according to UCR. The film was
directed by geology professor Simon Lamb, who spent six years studying the work of climate scientists.

Seating is limited. For information, call (760) 834-0800 or email
