Small earthquake shakes Cabazon

A magnitude 3.1 earthquake hit outside Cabazon this morning just after 9:20 a.m, according to the USGS.

The epicenter of the quake was located 10 miles underground and 4 miles northeast of Cabazon; 15 miles west of Desert Hot Springs.

There were no initial reports of injury or damage.
