Man suspected of robbing woman on first date
A first date turned into a nightmare for a Wildomarwoman when her male companion allegedly held her against her will and thenrobbed her before finally dumping her on a sidewalk several blocks from homeearly today, authorities said.
Terry Michael Fine, 55, of Murrieta was arrested on suspicion ofkidnapping, robbery and false imprisonment following a night out with a womanhe had recently met, according to Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. PatrickChavez.
The victim, whose identity was not released, told deputies that when sheand Fine returned to her house at Dunn and Pasadena streets around midnight,the suspect accused her of stealing his wallet.
“Fine refused to the let the victim out of his vehicle and held herwrist and grabbed her purse as she attempted to exit the vehicle,” Chavezalleged. “Fine refused to let her go until he found his wallet.”
The suspect drove two blocks away — to the intersection of CentralAvenue and Dunn Street — where he “pushed the woman out of his vehicle, stillin possession of her purse,” Chavez alleged.
Fine then drove off, returning to his residence in the 41700 block ofGrandview Street, the sergeant said. The woman immediately called 911 andreported the incident, leading to Fine’s arrest about two hours later.
He was booked into the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta, where hewas being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
