AMFM Fest continues toward the weekend

The first AMFM Fest, including art, music andfilm, continues in Cathedral City today and runs through Sunday. A schedule of the events can be found here.

The festival, organized by Film 4 Change, is being held at the UltraStarMary Pickford Theater and Desert IMAX theater in Cathedral City, theCathedral City Town Square and other locations. The event opened on Thursday.

More than 50 films will be screened throughout the four days, and thereis art from around the Southwest and music in the square, which is in front ofCity Hall on Avenida Lalo Guerrero, according to organizers.

“The inaugural AMFM festival is a celebration of film, music, visualarts, fashion and all of those creative voices who push the boundaries of theirmedium and who invoke change in society,” festival co-director Robert Galarzasaid.
