Incoming Hard Rock Hotel selects VP, GM
The general manager of Hotel Zoso, where a HardRock Hotel is being built in Palm Springs, was named vice president and generalmanager of the 160-room, Hard Rock Hotel set to open in September.
Hector Moreno will stay in charge while the hotel is built at 150 S.Indian Canyon Drive.
“Hollywood’s love affair with this city reaches back to the days ofFrank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe, and now Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs willhelp Palm Springs continue this storied tradition with celebrity visits andevents,” he said.
Hard Rock International, which has 18 hotels around the world, isworking with Kittridge Hotel Management to turn the Hotel Zoso, 150 S. IndianCanyon Drive, into the Hard Rock Hotel, spokeswoman Therese Everett-Kerleysaid.
The only other Hard Rock Hotel in California is in San Diego. Hotel Zosowill be closed this summer while it is being converted.
The new hotel will have a VIP “rock star” suite, a spa and gym, a giftshop, food, a lobby bar, pool, fire pits and music memorabilia. The hotelwill also have 20,500 squarefeet of ballroom and banquet facility space and abusiness center.
The hotel will have a program called “Sound Of Your Stay,” whereguests can download a personal playlist, play Fender guitars and mix musictracks.
