Handful of PSUSD students head back to class

Starting today, some local elementary schoolstudents will head back to class.

Eight Palm Springs Unified School District elementary schools will startthe 2013-2014 school year Thursday. They are:

— Cahuilla and Cielo Vista Charter in Palm Springs;
— Agua Caliente, Cathedral City Elementary, Landau and Sunny Sands in
Cathedral City; and
— Cabot Yerxa and Julius Corsini in Desert Hot Springs.

Classes at other district schools start Sept. 3.

Coachella Valley Unified School District students start school Aug. 22,and Desert Sands Unified School District’s first day is Sept. 3, according totheir websites.
