Trailer fire in Thermal displaces family of five
A single-wide trailer was extensively damaged in Thermal Monday, causing no injuries but displacing a family of five, authorities said.
The fire at Avenue 61 and Van Buren Street was reported at 12:40 a.m. and contained at 1:13 a.m., said Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann.
The American Red Cross was contacted to help find housing for two adults and three children displaced by the blaze, Hagemann said. How the fire started was not immediately reported.
