Police looking for shooting suspect in Coachella still on the run

A man shot in the front yard of a Coachella residence was recovering today, but the shooter remained at large, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The shooting was reported at 5:20 p.m. Monday in the 85000 block of Bagdad Avenue. The victim, whose name was not released, was transported to a local hospital, but his injuries weren’t considered life-threatening, according to the sheriff’s department, which did not release a motive for the attack.

The suspect was described only as a Hispanic man about 25 years old. He was last seen running east on Bagdad.
