Duplex catches fire in Cathedral City
Fire burned a duplex in Cathedral City this morning on Monte Vista Road near 33rd, according to our crew on the scene.
The fire started around 9 a.m. and was put out about a half hour later. The fire started inside one of the homes of the duplex but was contained to that area. That half of the duplex was partially damaged by the fire. However, itreceivedsmoke damage throughout and if not inhabitable at this time.
One person was taken to the hospital. The extent of the person’s injuries is not known.
