Thermal man arrested in Northern California on child abuse charges
A Thermal man is in custody this morning facing child sexual assault charges.
Police arrested 25-year-old Elpidio Torres-Salinas in Bakersfield on Wednesday, after a felony warrant was issued for his arrest.
Torres-Salinas was identified as the suspect following an investigation into a sexual assault that happened on the 76000 block of Pierce Street in Thermal back in June.
Torres-Salinas faces multiple counts of aggravated child sexual assault and other child sexual abuse-related charges.
He was taken into custody and booked in the county jail in Indio.
