Police make arrest in early morning La Quinta shooting
A 24-year-old La Quinta man allegedly shot two peopleearly today during an argument, a sheriff’s sergeant said.
The shooting was reported around 2:35 a.m. in the 53000 block of AvenidaHerrera. Robert Santos allegedly argued with the two victims and then shot attheir vehicle as they drove away, striking both of them, sheriff’s Sgt. SteveDaSilva said.
He said the victims drove themselves to a local hospital, where theywere treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Santos was later found, arrested and booked into the county jail inIndio on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, DaSilva said.
