Child injured in 4 car crash in Coachella
A child was injured in a four-vehicle traffic collision on Harrison Street and Avenue 54 in Coachella late Thursday afternoon.
Cal fire first reported that the child suffered major injuries, but sheriff’s deputies on scene told reporter Greg lee, that the child was airlifted to an area hospital as a precaution and believe the injuries are minor.
There was a total of five patients, the child, and 4 adults who were transported to area hospitals by ground ambulance with minor injuries.
The crash happened just after 4:00 p.m. and crews shut the intersection down for about an hour to clear the wreckage and investigate the cause of the crash.
