Palm Springs police to conduct DUI checkpoint

The Palm Springs Police Department will operate a DUI checkpoint Friday night at an undisclosed location.

Beginning at 9 p.m Friday., and continuing until 2:30 a.m. Saturday, officers at the checkpoint will look for signs of alcohol or drug impairment and make sure drivers are carrying valid driver’s licenses, Sgt. Harvey Reed said.

The checkpoint is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
