Palm Springs named one of hottest travel destinations

Palm Springs has been named one of the 14 hottest travel destinations in 2014 by a popular travel guide book. The list of top destinations was put together by the editors of Frommer’s.

Frommer’s pointed to Palm Springs’ growing reputation as a hip destination with the new trendy hotels such as the Ace Hotel & Swim Club and the Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs. Editors also mentioned an increasing number of airlines, including Virgin America, making the area more accessible.

“It is an honor for Palm Springs to be selected as a top destination for 2014,” said Scott White, President & CEO of the Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Only two other U.S. destinations made the list, Big Island, Hawaii and Richmond, Virginia. Other destinations included India, Scotland, Taiwan, and Liverpool, England.
