Man walking with flat screen TV arrested for burglary

A 23 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary after police found stolen items stashed in the desert behind a home in the 30200 block of Robert Road in Thousand Palms Tuesday.

Deputies said Julian Messemore, was spotted walking in the desert near Monte Vista Way carrying a flat screen TV around 11:30 a.m.

Police detained Messemore a short while later when they found stolen items in the desert.

Authorities said they discovered the name and address of the property owner when searching the stolen items. Deputies went to the home, located in the 30500 block of Robert Road, and found the front door kicked in and the residence burglarized.

Police said they also found evidence at the residence, and in the desert next to the stolen items, that linked Messemore to both locations.

The suspect was arrested for residential burglary and was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio.
