Fire ignites at homeless camp
Cal Fire responded to a fire at a homeless camp in the area of Vista Del Sur and Tyler Street near I-10 just east of the Dillon Road exit.
Firefighters said they’re working to put out a debris pile that’s about 50 feet by 50 feet.
There’s no word on how many people were in the area at the time the fire sparked. Fire officials said they’ll be there until close to 5:30 p.m. to put out any remaining hot spots.
The fire wasn’t big, but firefighters said it produced a lot of smoke.
The cause of the fire in under investigation.
