Wells Fargo Bank robbed in Indio

Indio Police are searching for a suspect that robbed the Wells Fargo Bank in Indio late Friday evening. The robbery occurred just after 4:00 p.m. Friday evening at bank located at 45-020 Monroe Street near Highway 111, per Indio Police Public Information Officer Ben Guitron.

According to Guitron, the Hispanic man entered the bank and handed the teller a note. The teller handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the bank on his BMX bicycle.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, between 30-35 years of age, medium build, dark hair with a goatee and mustache. He was wearing a black DC cap, and white T-shirt and black pants.

Guitron says Indio Police are currently searching for the suspect and also say nobody was hurt during the robbery. If you saw anything your urged to call Indio Police or Crimestoppers at (760) 341-STOP.
