Some roads back open after strong winds forced closures

Strong winds moved through the Coachella Valley Tuesday night, closing down roads because of blowing dust and sand. Some roads were reopened around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Gene Autry Trail and Vista Chino are back open but Indian Canyon remains closed at the wash.

Visibility was also poor on Interstate 10.

Drivers were advised to use Hwy 111, Dinah Shore Drive and E. Ramon Road as alternate routes during the wind storm.
