Garage fire destroys Indio home
Cal Fire says they are working a house fire in the Shadow Hills Development. The fire broke out at a home on the 41-200 block of Morris Street around 4:35 p.m.
Cal Fire says the first arriving engine company reported a 2000 square-foot single family home with smoke and fire showing. Further reports advised an established fire in the attic space of the structure.
The fire was put out and mostly contained to the garage area. The home was reportedly empty when the fire erupted says Cal Fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
