Reminder about curbside trash pick-up in La Quinta

Large and bulky items damaged in Monday’s flooding in La Quinta will be picked-up Saturday by Burrtec.

The city, in cooperation with Burrtec, set-up the free curbside service. Items need to be at the curb by 6:00 a.m.. The pick-ups will continue until 2:00 p.m.. People outside the heavily flood damaged areas can call Burrtec directly at (760) 340-2113 to schedule a pick-up for water damaged items.

Examples of items to be picked-up include carpet, wood flooring, and furniture. Hazardous items like tires, batteries, paint, and cleaners will not be picked-up.
