Tuberculosis case in San Diego County
San Diego County public health officials say a person at California State University, San Marcos is being treated for tuberculosis.
The county Health Department said Friday that others on campus may have been to the disease.
The university and health officials are working together to find everyone who might have been exposed between Aug. 25 and Oct. 29.
Symptoms include fever, a persistent cough, night sweats and unexplained weight loss.
Tuberculosis can be treated with medication.
The number of cases in the San Diego County region has been decreasing in recent years.
To date, 160 cases have been reported there in 2014, down from 206 cases last year.
