Wind Advisory, Red Flag Warning, Freeze Warning in effect for Coachella Valley and surrounding areas
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory in effect until Monday at 2 pm. Surface high pressure over the Great Basin will bring gusty offshore winds to the area. Sustained winds between 25 and 35 mph are expected with gusts possible up to 55 mph.
A Red Flag Warning is also in effect for mountain areas through Monday at 8 pm. Negative dew points and extremely low relative humidity will make for elevated fire danger.
A Freeze Warning goes into effect for the high desert communities Sunday evening and will remain in effect through Monday morning at am. Overnight lows for the area are expected to drop down to the 30s.
