Power outage hits 1,950 in Morongo, Yucca Valley
UPDATE from SCE at 1:15 p.m.: “We are testing the lines to help limit the number of customers affected.” Outage down from 1,952 to 605.
SoCal Edison reports an unplanned power outage in an unincorporated area of San Bernardino County along Highway 62 between Morongo and Yucca Valley Sunday morning.
The company says they are analyzing the cause of the outage, and estimates that 1,952 people will have power restored again by 12:30 p.m.
The first outage was reported just after 10 a.m.
High winds in the area may have played a factor, but that could not be confirmed.
