Stan Sniff sworn-in for third term as Riverside County Sheriff

Stan Sniff was sworn in Monday for his third term as Riverside County Sheriff during what is expected to be a low-key ceremony at the County Administrative Center.

Sniff was sworn in at 9 a.m. by Judge Richard T. Fields in the county Board of Supervisors chamber, 4080 Lemon St. in Riverside.

The public was invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony and a subsequent reception, which was held across the street at the Sheriff’s Administration Building, 4095 Lemon St. in Riverside.

Sniff became sheriff in 2007, when he was appointed to fill a vacancy created when Sheriff Bob Doyle resigned to take another job.

Sniff won re-election in 2010 and again this year.
