This was the third year the event has been held at the Humana Challenge. Carey Lohrenze was the keynote speaker for the event. She was one of the US Navy’s first female F-14 Tomcat Fighter Pilots.
“What I’ve done is I’ve taken some of those lessons learned and really bridged to how they can be applicable to people in their everyday lives and in businesses and specifically with leadership development,” she said.
Her most important advice to woman…
“You cannot wait for an invitation to make a difference,” she said. “Just raise your hand, get in there and go for it.”
Lohrenz said 70 percent of the women at the event did not golf.
“Full disclosure I don’t golf well,” she joked. “But I think we can all be inspired by such an amazingly gorgeous environment.”
