Wind, blowing sand closes several Palm Springs roads

UPDATE 8:30 a.m. Sunday:After high winds and drifting sands, Palm Springs Police have opened N Gene Autry and Vista Chino at the wash. Indian Canyon at the wash is still closed.

Vista Chino, N. Indian Canyon and N. Gene Autry are all closed at the wash due to blowing sand, according to Palm Springs Police.

Police are asking people to avoid these areas.

The roads are all closed until further notice.
