In-home caregiver arrested for elder abuse

A Palm Desert resident is in jail accused of multiple counts of burglary and elder abuse.

Janale Jingles, 31, was arrested Monday on charges stemming from her work as an in-home caregiver in Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage between January of 2014 and March of 2015.

Police served a search warrant at a home along Avenue 42 in Palm Desert and found a bracelet that was taken from a 94-year old woman valued at approximately $10,000.

Authorities say they also found additional stolen property along with evidence related to identity theft.
