Lyndon Johnson Elementary School receives grant to buy computers
When students at Lyndon Johnson Elementary School in Indio sit down with their Google Chrome tablets – anything is possible. Previously, the school didn’t have enough computers for every child, but computer literacy is essential.
“These are not luxury skills these are essential skills,” Lyndon Johnson Elementary School principal Barry Stockhamer said.
Skills that now each student will get. The H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation and CBS Local 2 General Manger Mike Stutz presented the school with the $25,000 Coachella Valley Spotlight Grant check. The school will get more 70 computers.
“Huge blessing for our school will bring chrome books to lower grades where its needed,” 2nd grade teacher Kim Balmer said.
