Missing at-risk adult found at hotel in Merced

Indio Police say an at-risk 81-year old Menlo Park man was located miles away early Tuesday morning.

Indio Police say they got a call from the Merced Police Department at 9:45 Wednesday morning. The department confirmed that they located 81-year old Don Juan Brawner at a Holiday Inn Express in Merced.

Brawner was reported missing Tuesday morning by family members who say he suffers from dementia and moderate Alzheimers. The family believed Brawner was heading back to his Menlo Park home.

Merced Police say it appears that Brawner checked into the hotel and stayed the night, and is reported in good health. Brawner was picked up by family members staying in the area.
