Dogs found in hot car in Palm Desert
An animal control officer cited a woman for leaving her dogs inside her car outside the Westfield Mall in Palm Desert.
The officer got a call after mall security found 6 dogs inside the car with the tinted windows cracked.
The dogs were panting inside the car.
Officials say temperatures inside the car were in the mid to high 90’s.
The officer says the Las Vegas woman said she was unaware of California laws about the issue and felt legitimate remorse over the situation.
She was still cited and will likely have to pay a fine.
